SpaceX and T-Mobile enable mobile operation over satellite networks
American wireless network operator T-Mobile US Inc. has entered into an agreement with Elon Musk's company SpaceX to provide satellite services to mobile users in the United States.
According to Reuters, the company is preparing to provide mobile services from SpaceX's Starlink satellites.
After the implementation of this plan, users will not need any cell tower to send messages and pictures.
With the help of satellite, users can easily send messages. The company said that mobile can be used from satellites in places where there is no mobile network, in rural areas, and in any emergency.
Speaking at an event held on Thursday, Elon Musk said that Starlink's satellites will use T-Mobile's mid-band spectrum to build a new network.
It is said that only T-Mobile users will be able to use the beta version of the satellite service, which is expected to start next year.
Since 2019, SpaceX has sent nearly 3,000 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit.
