Black water: What is this drink consumed by some famous Indian artists?

Indian film actress Kajal Aggarwal was recently spotted at the Mumbai airport with a bottle of 'black colored water'.

Journalists asked what was so special about the water in the bottle.

She replied with a smile, "This is also drinking water. You should drink it once. You too will feel good."

She said that she has been drinking such 'black water' for several days.

A few days ago, even Shruti Haasan showed that she was drinking 'black water' on social media.

One of his videos showed 'black water' in a glass.

Shruti said in the video, "When I heard about 'black water' for the first time, it was something new. Especially, it's not 'black water'. It's alkaline water. It tastes like normal water."

Even earlier, the news of Malaika Arora, Urvashi Rautela and many other artists using such water was published.

What happens in 'black water'?

70 percent of our body is made up of water. So that it is necessary to drink sufficient amount of water to allow water to reach all parts of the body and work properly.

Water also helps to flush out bad things from our body.

Similarly, it helps to deliver the amount of mineral-salt to different parts of the body while maintaining proper temperature in the body.

Water also plays an important role in making the digestive system effective.

According to companies that sell 'black water', more than 70 percent of their products contain mineral elements.

Black water contains elements like magnesium and calcium.

According to the manufacturing companies, the ratio of its quantity may be different.

According to the companies' claims, 'black water' speeds up the digestive process, reduces the production of acidic substances and boosts the immune system.

What is the difference between ordinary water and black water?

Nutritionist Dr. Ruth Jaysheela says, "The water we normally drink is low in some minerals. Those minerals are essential for our body. In some cases, people can get sick due to their deficiency."

"RO filter water has a low pH level. It also has high acidity. So sometimes RO water can cause discomfort to the body. As a result, we sometimes need to take vitamins and extra nutrients. For such people, 'black water' can be helpful to some extent. But what we need to understand is that natural alternatives are always more productive than these things."

Acidity and alkalinity in liquid foods are measured by pH. Which is measured on a zero to 14 point scale.

If a water has a pH level of 1, it is considered very acidic. Similarly, if the pH level is 13, it is considered to be too alkaline.

Normally, the pH level of the water we drink is between 6 to 7.

However, alkaline water has a pH level greater than 7.

This means that 'black water' is more alkaline than normal drinking water.

Dr Ruth Jaysheela adds, "However, we cannot say that alkaline water is beneficial just because it has a high pH level. It depends on the minerals in the water. It also makes sense how those minerals are reaching different parts of the body."

Who benefits from 'black water'?

According to studies, alkaline water is beneficial for certain types of health problems.

For example, an enzyme called pepsin causes acidity in the stomach.

According to a study by the US National Library of Medicine, if the pH of alkaline mineral water is 8.8, it can reduce the effect of this enzyme.

Likewise, according to a 2018 study by experts at Osaka University's Graduate School of Medicine in Japan, alkaline electrolyzed water can help improve digestion and prevent constipation.

According to experts from Thomas Jefferson University in the US, alkaline water, which has a higher pH level than ordinary water, improves blood flow.

According to the medical news website 'The Healthline', the levels of the three studies mentioned above are very limited and extensive research is needed to confirm such claims.

What is 'black water'?

'Black water' is also known as alkaline water or alkaline ionized water.

According to a medical journal called Evidence Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine EBCAM, the use of 'black water' can give some help if the body sweats a lot after gym and physical exercise.

In particular, it increases the supply of electrolytes.

According to EBCAM, laboratory tests on mice have shown that alkaline water helps maintain a healthy body weight. It also accelerates the process of metabolism in the body.

Similarly, as some companies claim in their advertisements, alkaline water with a pH level above 7 reduces the signs of aging in the body.

However, in the EBCAM report, the researchers stated that there is no scientific evidence behind these claims.

Even bad effects

According to a study conducted by Marina Mern, a professor at the University of Turku in Finland, excessive use of 'black water' can cause vomiting.

In the same way There is also a risk that it can cause changes in the pH level of the fluid inside the body.

Neeta Dilip, a nutritionist, says that excessive consumption of minerals is not good for health.

She says, "Mineral elements are considered good for health, but excessive use can become toxic to the body. Deficiency can also cause diseases."

"Taking too much calcium can lead to hypercalcemia. Similarly, too much mineral can cause hemochromatosis. Therefore, we need to take any mineral in the required amount. Too much can be fatal."

Neeta Dilip says, "It's true that celebrities are using it. They even have a team of health experts and nutritionists. So just because someone is using it doesn't mean we should too. We have to remember that everyone's body is different."

'Pollution can have long-term effects on children'

'Pollution can have long-term effects on children' Lately, air pollution has been seen high in the major cities of the country including Kathmandu. Even Kathmandu has been included in the list of the most polluted cities in the world. Based on the method of measuring pollution, Kathmandu's air is four times more polluted than normal conditions. This is said based on the amount of 'particulate matter' mixed in the air. The condition of air pollution is determined based on the amount of dust particles i.e. PM 2.5 in the atmosphere. PM 2.5 is fine dust particles in the air with a diameter of 2.5 micrometers, it is a mixed form of solids and chemicals. Since PM 2.5 is very fine, this harmful particle can enter the body and seriously affect the lungs and it may affect health. In this way, what kind of problems can the children's health be caused by the increasing air pollution? What effect does it have on the children of faith? Focusing on these issues, respiratory,
