 Internet of Things (IOT)

Computers and Internet are things that everyone has heard about and has never used. At the same time, there are many kinds of things connected with computer and internet, which we use but we don't know about them. In the field of technology, many types of things are being manufactured day by day, so that new types of technologies are coming in the market and one of these technologies is the technology 'Internet of Things'. This word is mentioned in many places. But do you know what the meaning of the Internet of Things is, what exactly is the Internet of Things and how does it work? Today we will try to give you the answers to all these questions through this article.

Full form of IOT

The full name of IOT is Internet of Things. In many places, you will find IOT written instead of Internet of Things. This term was used for the first time by Kevin Ashton and he said that this is a system where the Internet can be connected to the physical world through ubiquitous sensors.

What is the Internet of Things?

Many types of technologies and devices can be connected together through the Internet of Things. The development of Internet of Things networking is a big success. This technology is used to connect all gadgets and electronic devices through the internet. All smart devices connected with the help of this technology send data to each other and can receive data from each other. They act on the basis of the data sent to each other. At the same time, this technology is very successful in today's time and is becoming very important for people. With the help of this technology, our lives will become very easy in the coming time. With the help of this, you can link any device or device with the Internet and make the rest of the devices do anything according to your needs.

The example given below will help you to understand this technique more easily. If a person wants the AC of his room to be turned on before reaching his home, and as soon as he reaches home, he finds his room very cold, then this can be done through the Internet of Things. At the same time, if your AC stays on while leaving the house, then you can turn it off with the help of IOT.

Yes, any person can turn on or off from anywhere by connecting many devices of his home simultaneously with the help of the Internet. Similarly, if there is any fault in your car, then its information will be sent to the company that makes that car with the help of this technology. After which the company of your car will inform you about the malfunction in your car. However, you can take advantage of this technology only when these devices are connected with the IP address of your mobile or device.

Internet of things applications:

What is smart house –

Smart homes are a part of the Internet of Things and you must have heard about smart homes. In fact, smart homes are those homes where all the devices in the home are connected to the Internet. These devices control the heating, AC, doors of the house with the help of sensors. Suppose if you are not at home and you have left a door open. If there is a sensor on that door, it will automatically close after some time. Not only this, you will get information about this thing through your phone.

Wearables (what is wearable technology) –

Wearables include things that you can wear. Such as smart watches, smart shoes and etc. All these things come under Internet of Things. You must have heard about many types of smart watches. Such as Apple's smart watch. You can do many things with the help of these watches, such as these watches can give you information about your health, while you can connect these watches to your phone and send emails anywhere while working out. That is, you do not need to look at your phone repeatedly while working out.

Similarly, there are many devices related to smart garden, smart kitchen and health, which are counted under IOT. These devices work by automatically understanding the situation. For example, if you have a smart alarm clock, it will wake you up based on the weather, traffic and other things. Let's say you want to go to another city and your 6 am alarm is loaded in the smart watch, while this watch will wake you up based on the weather, the traffic you meet on the way. If the clock thinks that you should wake up 15 minutes earlier due to traffic, the clock will wake you up 15 minutes before the alarm you set.

Internet of Things Devices (Internet of Things Devices or products)

Various types of Internet of Things devices are being made and sold by many well-known companies in the market. Amazon Echo, Fitbit One, Astrum AL 150 Lock, Apple Smart Watch and etc devices come under their category. The tools mentioned above work in different ways. For example, you can play songs, get weather information or book a taxi through Amazon Echo. At the same time, through Fitbit One, you can know how much you have walked. How many calories have you burned? Not only that, how long have you slept? Apart from this, this device keeps creating data of your health from time to time through the internet and keeps telling you about the progress made by you.

At the same time Astrum AL 150 lock is a security bluetooth based lock. This lock supports Android and iOS devices. You can easily connect it with other gadgets in your home. And you can lock things with the help of your phone.

Future of Internet of Things

Currently, around 1200 crore devices worldwide come under this. It is believed that this number will increase by 26 times from the current number. Apart from this, the global market value of IoT will reach 7.1 trillion dollars by 2020. At the same time, it can be easily estimated from these figures that how much demand this technology is going to have in the coming time.

Advantages of internet of things (internet of things advantages) –

Every work can be done easily through Internet of Things. At the same time, through the Internet of Things, people's standard of living will also increase in the coming time. With the help of this technology, you can easily do many tasks at the same time. Apart from this, if you are away from your office or home, you can easily get the information there with the help of smart devices.

Disadvantages of Internet of Things

The biggest disadvantage associated with the Internet of Things is security. In today's era, many questions arise regarding the security of the Internet. In this case, due to the connection of everything to the Internet, there will be a threat to their security. At the same time, this technology can become a threat to people's jobs.

Which companies make these devices (top internet of things companies)

These smart devices are made by many well-known companies. In the list of these companies, IBM is on the first place. At the same time, the other companies involved in IoT are as follows - Google, Intel, Microsoft, Apple, Cisco and Samsung.

Status of Internet of Things in India (internet of things projects in India)

It is estimated that in the next five years, India will gain a 20% share in the global IoT market. At the same time, the Indian government has launched many schemes in the country, which have been started with IOT. And the name of one of these plans is Smart City Plan. The Government of India has invested about 7,060 crore rupees on this scheme. Under this plan, the Government of India wants to achieve goals such as smart parking in urban areas, smart urban lighting, smart city maintenance, civil safety, smart grid, smart energy, water management. Apart from this, the state of Andhra Pradesh has also been planned to become an IoT hub by 2020. Due to which 50,000 jobs are expected to be created in the IoT sector. At the same time, it can be inferred from all these plans that India also does not want to be left behind in the field of IoT. The Indian government also wants to keep its country ahead in the field of technology in every way.

How an IoT System Actually Works

A complete IoT system integrates four different components. These components are sensors or devices, connectivity, data processing and user interface. First, sensors or devices collect data from their environment. After which that data is sent to the cloud (internet-based process). At the same time, the sensor sends its data to the cloud through things like cellular, satellite, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc. Once the data goes to the cloud, the software does some kind of processing on it. After which information is sent to you.

For example, if the temperature of a company's cold storage area increases significantly, then this temperature information will be sent to the cloud through sensors. After which the temperature is seen in the processing. At the same time, if the temperature is found to be too high, then the information is given to you through an e-mail or message. So that you can know that the temperature of that place has increased more than the set temperature and can fix it in time. In this way, the information of any thing reaches you through this technology easily and in less time.

conclusion

Many kinds of devices are being made in the world, which are proving to be very beneficial for us people. With these devices, we are able to do our work easily. But at the same time, we are gradually becoming dependent on technology. Seeing which it seems that in the coming time we are going to become slaves of these technologies. Which is not a good sign. By becoming slaves to technology, we are endangering our way of life.

'Pollution can have long-term effects on children'

'Pollution can have long-term effects on children' Lately, air pollution has been seen high in the major cities of the country including Kathmandu. Even Kathmandu has been included in the list of the most polluted cities in the world. Based on the method of measuring pollution, Kathmandu's air is four times more polluted than normal conditions. This is said based on the amount of 'particulate matter' mixed in the air. The condition of air pollution is determined based on the amount of dust particles i.e. PM 2.5 in the atmosphere. PM 2.5 is fine dust particles in the air with a diameter of 2.5 micrometers, it is a mixed form of solids and chemicals. Since PM 2.5 is very fine, this harmful particle can enter the body and seriously affect the lungs and it may affect health. In this way, what kind of problems can the children's health be caused by the increasing air pollution? What effect does it have on the children of faith? Focusing on these issues, respiratory,
