Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched its first smartphone with a 200 megapixel camera. The company organized an event on Thursday and demonstrated the phone virtually. Xiaomi is going to launch Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus and Redmi Note 12 Explorer under the Redmi Note 12 series.


Xiaomi Note 12 Pro Plus released by the company is similar to Note 12 Explorer. However, the Redmi Note 12 is slightly lower than the Explorer. Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus has a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Powered by MediaTek Dimension 1080 chipset, this phone is based on Android version 12 and MIUI 13.



The Note 12 Pro Plus has a 200-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera sensor. For selfie connoisseurs, this phone includes a 16 megapixel single camera.


This phone has a fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass sensors and is available in 8 GB and 12 GB RAM variants and 256 GB internal storage variants.


In this phone with a battery capacity of 5000 mAh, the company is going to provide 120 watt fast charging, which the company claims will take 19 minutes to fully charge. Currently, its price is around 300 euros (around 40 thousand rupees).


Similarly, the Redmi Note 12 Pro released by the company has a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Powered by MediaTek Dimension 1080 chipset, this phone is based on Android version 12 and MIUI 13.

The Note 12 has a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera sensor. For selfie connoisseurs, this phone includes a single camera of 8 megapixels.


According to the company, this phone with fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass sensor will be available in 4 GB, 6 GB and 8 GB RAM variants. Along with these various RAM variants, it will be available in 128 GB and 256 GB internal storage variants.


The company is going to provide 33 watt fast charging in this phone with 5000 mAh battery capacity. Currently, it is around 170 euros (around 22 thousand 460 rupees).


These phones will be available in the global market on November 3. As the Redmi phone is a mid-range phone, it has a good market in the Asian region.
