What is blood cancer, its types, and what causes

Everyone knows that cancer is an incurable disease and if it is not treated in time then a person cannot escape death and if it is identified and treated on time then cancer can be controlled.

Cancer is considered a deadly disease because in the beginning this disease cannot be detected and until it is detected, it becomes a challenge to prevent it. After getting cancer in a person, some initial symptoms start appearing but people do not take them seriously and avoid it.

Why does blood cancer happen?

There is no set age for blood cancer, it can happen at any age. When there is blood cancer, the cancer cells or cells do not allow the blood to form in the body of the person, due to which the person starts to suffer from blood deficiency. Along with the blood of the body, cancer also damages the bone marrow of the person.

Types of blood cancer

Leukemia

It is the primary and predominant type of blood cancer, in which the amount of white blood cells increases significantly compared to red blood cells. Generally, it has been observed that in some people, leukemia cancer starts slowly and later on. It becomes dangerous.

Leukemia cancer is also of many types and people are unaware of it. There are 4 main types of leukemia cancer:

Acute Leukemia: When blood and marrow cells begin to grow rapidly and accumulate more, then the same situation is called acute leukemia. These cells start accumulating in the bone marrow very quickly.

Chronic Leukemia: Apart from the rest of the cells in the body, when there is a process of formation of some underdeveloped cells in the body, it is called chronic leukemia. Chronic leukemia also increases with time and if not treated, it makes the condition very serious.

Lymphocytic Leukemia: This is the condition when bone marrow cells start to change into white blood cells.

Myelogenous Leukemia: When platelets are formed by marrow cells in addition to red blood cells and white blood cells, it is called myelogenous leukemia.

Apart from this, there are some other types of blood:

Lymphoma: When the development of lymphocytes in the human body is very fast, then such a symptom is called lymphoma. It has been seen that, it is treated with drugs and radiation therapy and it has been successful but if it is ignored then surgery is the only way to avoid it.

Myeloma: In this type of cancer, the person's plasma cells are affected, which reduces his immunity or disease resistance. In this type of blood cancer, the bones become weak and the person's body lacks calcium. Which is constantly decreasing.

What are the early symptoms?

Patients affected by blood cancer often feel tired and weak. The reason for this is the lack of red blood cells in the person's blood and due to this, the person becomes anemic. Swelling occurs in the patient's stomach, due to which there is a feeling of pain in defecation, as well as loss of appetite.

Keep in mind that if blood cancer has started, then many kinds of problems start in the patient's mouth, throat, skin and lungs. is a symptom

If blood cancer has settled in the patient's body, then the patient may often have fever and it may occur again and again. Experiencing pain in bones and muscles is also an early symptom of blood cancer.

Apart from this, the complaint of migraine pain in the initial stage of blood cancer has also been seen in many people. Along with this, sudden vomiting or diarrhoea, itching in the skin, complaints of spots and swelling and bleeding in the jaws are also counted among the early symptoms of blood cancer.

Treatment of blood cancer

Cancer is of any type, it must have a stage, such as the first, second and advanced stages. There is a difference between blood cancer and other cancers. It is an important challenge for the doctor to know how the blood was formed in the patient.

But technology and modern medicine have made it possible. Now there are medicines that can detect its onset. It can be found out from which cell the cancer grows and that cell is eliminated through treatment and this modern medicine is called chemotherapy.

Do not be careless in the investigation

It has often been seen that platelets are reduced in blood cancer and the patient has to be given platelets and there is a challenge in that whether the patient's body is able to accept it or not. Because these platelets are reduced again. If the patient's platelets are less than 25,000, then this is a serious matter. If the patient's platelets are more than 30,000, then there is no need to worry.

One thing worth noting here is that it is very important for the machines that are currently being used for cancer screening to work properly. In a country like India, it has often happened that many hospitals do not replace the machines even though they are not working properly.

One of the reasons for this is the high cost of machines. However, there should not be a deal to go. In government hospitals, the situation is still good, but private hospitals often do this carelessness, and the result is that the reports are wrong and the patient's disease continues to increase. In such a situation, those patients have to suffer who start the treatment on time, yet they are cheated.

It becomes more serious in blood cancer. If the blood test is not correct, the platelets form lumps in the body and due to this, the platelets count in the machine shows more. So always remember that whenever you get tested, get it done by a certified lab.

'Pollution can have long-term effects on children'

'Pollution can have long-term effects on children' Lately, air pollution has been seen high in the major cities of the country including Kathmandu. Even Kathmandu has been included in the list of the most polluted cities in the world. Based on the method of measuring pollution, Kathmandu's air is four times more polluted than normal conditions. This is said based on the amount of 'particulate matter' mixed in the air. The condition of air pollution is determined based on the amount of dust particles i.e. PM 2.5 in the atmosphere. PM 2.5 is fine dust particles in the air with a diameter of 2.5 micrometers, it is a mixed form of solids and chemicals.
