Usually people use perfume for fragrance. But not only the fragrance, there are many other benefits of using it.

A History of Perfume

Historians say- 'Perfume started with the discovery of a kind of aromatic herbs and roots.'

A chemist named Tapputi from Mesopotamia was the first to create perfume. It is said that he made the first perfume by mixing oil and flowers. After that, perfume became global. From religious rituals to daily life and funerals, perfumes were used. In Egypt, paintings of perfumes were placed on the walls of royal tombs.

If we talk about its modern use and popularity, the credit goes to Paris. Commercial production of perfume began in Paris in 1370. This is where the modern perfume started.

Nepali perfume market

Although perfume has been introduced in Nepali society for a long time, its consumers have increased in the last decade and a half. Uddhav Bertaula, managing director of perfume business Ina Center, said that perfumes enhance the personality and also increase confidence, so its consumers have increased.

He says, 'Our Nepali market tends to adopt western lifestyle, culture and fashion. Similarly, the culture of perfume has also been brought in from the outside and has progressed by adopting it.

He says that Nepalis are slowly becoming aware of why and how to wear perfume. "Nowadays, information about why and how to wear perfume can be easily found through various social networks, that's why people have become more aware."

For daily use, floral and fruity base perfumes are preferred by Nepali people. Bertaula says that Oud, chocolate and fruit base perfumes are more preferred for any meeting ceremony. He says that perfumes can be found in the Nepalese market for Rs 2,000 to 20,000.

Benefits of perfume

Applying perfume removes the smell of sweat from the body and makes you feel fresh. Perfume refreshes memory. It is said that by wearing a perfume with the same fragrance, the memory of a loved one will remain forever. "If you are away from your loved ones and wear their favorite perfume even when you are away from them, their memory will always be fresh in your mind," says Bertaula.

When going to the temple, the fragrance of incense and other materials comes from there. Generally, the reason for spreading fragrance in such places is to fill the minds of people who come there with positive thoughts and energy. Bertaula says, 'Perfume also works exactly like that. It helps to improve the mood and keep the brain active.

The use of perfume also increases confidence in people. Bertaula says that putting on a perfume of your favorite fragrance will increase your enthusiasm and concentration.

How to keep the perfume for a long time?

A good moisturizer and body lotion should be applied after bathing to make the perfume last longer. If possible, moisturizer and perfume should be used from the same company. "If perfume is applied over moisturizer, the perfume also gets moisture and lasts for a long time," says Bertaula. He says that if you always choose a quality perfume, its fragrance will last for a long time.
