How to protect children's teeth from being eaten by worms?

According to the World Health Organization, 70 to 95 percent of children in industrialized countries have tooth decay. Baby teeth are very sensitive. If it is not taken care of properly, the tooth will be eaten by worms.

Generally, baby teeth start coming from 6 months. When a child starts teething, tooth decay also starts. During the development of children's teeth, infection and decay increase, and the tooth itself may fall out, leaving only a fragment of the tooth.

Tooth decay is the main problem in children. So parents should pay special attention to some things to avoid this problem.

That's why worms eat children's teeth

The main reason for the problem of getting worms in the child's teeth is the lack of oral hygiene, the change in the way of eating.

Children's teeth are eaten by worms due to reasons such as not cleaning the baby's teeth after sucking milk, not brushing the teeth after eating, giving too much chewy and sticky food, not brushing the teeth after eating food that sticks to the teeth, parents ignoring whether the baby's teeth are changing.

If you don't rinse or brush after eating, the grain particles, mainly gum and starch left in the mouth, are converted into acid by bacteria within 20 minutes. This acid produced by bacteria forms a sticky substance called plaque together with the saliva of the mouth. It sticks to the teeth.

If the teeth are not cleaned for several days, the plaque hardens and becomes 'tartar'. Tartar starts to damage the teeth and gums. Plaque bacteria make holes in the teeth. This is the process of tooth decay.

How to protect children's teeth from being eaten by worms?

If the child's teeth are not taken care of early, the problem of being eaten by worms appears from an early age. Therefore, parents should take care of their child's teeth from an early age. Many parents feed their babies and put them to sleep but do not pay attention to cleaning their mouths. But children who drink milk should also take care of their mouths. After sucking the baby's milk, a soft cloth should be soaked in water and his mouth should be cleaned.

After 6 months, the baby can be fed water. After drinking milk, the baby should put clean water in the milk bottle and sip a little. By doing this, milk does not freeze in the mouth and there is less chance of worms eating the teeth.

After teething, until the child knows how to spit and rinse, parents should clean their teeth with a soft toothbrush. After gradually growing up, when you go to wash him, you should give him a brush and make him do it himself. He should be watched and taught if he is brushing properly.

After the child completes one year, he should go to the dentist and get his teeth checked. Another benefit of going to the doctor from time to time is that it avoids further complications and money. The test does not aggravate the dental problem and the child does not suffer any more.

Young children are more likely to ingest fluoride (an ingredient in toothpaste) while brushing their teeth. Therefore, it is advisable for them to eat manjan with less fluoride or if possible, manjan without fluoride. Therefore, Manjan should be given according to the doctor's advice. When children are able to spit and they know not to swallow manjan, fluoride-containing manjan can be given.

Many parents are feeding chocolate, ice cream, juice etc. If you keep eating like this, there is a possibility of food sticking in your mouth. Due to which, the problem of tooth decay may be more visible. Therefore, the less you eat such foods, the easier it is to take care of your teeth. Children should be taught to rinse after eating.

Many children these days eat breakfast at school. Therefore, every school should encourage children to brush their teeth in the morning and evening.
