When should bedrest be taken during pregnancy?

Rest is as important as healthy and nutritious food during pregnancy. Pregnant women need enough sleep for the health of the baby.

But it is not recommended to do bed rest for a long time during pregnancy. Regular jogging is good for health. Because bed rest during pregnancy is more likely to cause blood clots in blood vessels and may cause other health problems. If there is a complex health problem during pregnancy and the risk of miscarriage is high, bed rest can be used to minimize it. During bed rest, blood thinners are given to prevent blood clotting.

Premature delivery

Some are at risk of delivery before time. In this case, the doctor advises bed rest. Because at this time, the tube that connects the vagina and the uterus, i.e. the cervix, may open prematurely. Due to this, there is a possibility of the baby being born prematurely and there is a risk of miscarriage.

Pre-eclampsia

Bed rest is advised even if pre-eclampsia is a problem during pregnancy. Pre-eclampsia is a type of serious blood pressure problem that develops during pregnancy. In this, the blood pressure of a pregnant woman suddenly increases, along with swelling of the body and the amount of protein in the urine increases. In this case, bed rest is required. It helps in safe delivery and prevents miscarriage.

Vaginal bleeding

There is a risk of anemia if the placenta of the fetus in the womb is below the placenta. The placenta is a temporary organ that develops during pregnancy. It is attached to the wall of the uterus. It works to deliver oxygen and essential nutrients to the fetus growing in the womb. Also, the placenta grows with the fetus and comes out with the baby after birth. In such a situation, the baby's fallopian tube may come out prematurely and there is a higher risk of miscarriage. Rest is advised.

Even if you have twins or triplets in your womb, bed rest is required. Because it reduces the weight of the cervix and the body relaxes.

If swelling is a problem

Bed rest is also necessary for pregnant women if there is a problem of swelling in their legs. Because sitting with legs hanging or standing can cause more swelling. Therefore, bed rest is necessary to reduce the swelling problem.

Repeated miscarriages

Pregnant women who have had miscarriages before are also asked to rest on bed. Because their health condition is weak, they also have some health problems. So it is advised to rest to avoid miscarriage again.

Uterine problems

In some cases, the length of the cervix of a woman is short. Bed rest is also advised in this case. Because there is a risk of miscarriage at this time. Similarly, bed rest is advised even when the growth of the fetus inside the womb is not according to the development time. Sometimes, even if there is a lack of water for the baby to sit or play, bedrest is done.

What kind of mistake in pregnancy can a disabled child be born?

The thought of every couple about the child growing in the womb is that their child should be born healthy and fit. But minor mistakes in pregnancy cause disability in children.

A woman's body undergoes many changes during pregnancy. It also includes hormonal changes. Therefore, to give birth to a healthy child, the couple has to pay special attention to some things. A pregnant mother needs a little more attention than a father who grows up in his mother's womb for nine months.

There is no single reason why any child is born disabled or handicapped. In some cases, the cause cannot be found. Being born with a disability can be caused by chromosomes or environmental factors.

The development of the child is in the mother's womb. Therefore, it is important to have a healthy egg and healthy sperm in the womb. The reason why a child is disabled due to chromosomes is because the eggs and sperm are not healthy.

The first three months are very important

A child develops in the mother's womb for nine months. The first three months are very sensitive. During this period, it is time for the baby's organs to form. At this time, lack of nutrition, injuries, if the pregnant woman smokes and drinks, if she takes any medicine that affects the child, if the environment is polluted, if the pregnant woman is not physically and mentally healthy, it will affect the health of both the mother and the child.

A pregnant woman needs to be healthy to give birth to a healthy baby

The idea that a born child should be healthy, but the health of a pregnant woman is no matter what, is prevalent in the society. But pregnant women are not healthy, they are pregnant before their age, pregnant women are not able to eat nutritious food, if chemicals are mixed in the food they eat, there is a risk of the child being born crippled or disabled.

Healthy baby weight

A healthy baby weighs between one and a half to three kilos at birth. If the child is above 4 kg, the child is overweight. If it is less than one and a half kg, the child is considered underweight. An average Nepali baby is born weighing 3 kg. When the baby is born, it should be 37 weeks and weigh 2.5 kg.

Things a couple should pay attention to in order to have a healthy baby

A mother plays a very important role in giving birth to a healthy child. The mother should be given nutritious food, kept happy and taken for health check-ups from time to time.

As pregnant women play the most important role in giving birth to a healthy child, they should pay special attention to their diet. Must be physically and mentally healthy. Having a child at a young age is also likely to be disabled. Therefore, children should be born only after 20 years. If a pregnant woman has a habit of smoking and drinking, she should stop that habit.
